In an increasingly digital world, an online presence is crucial for organizations to effectively convey their mission and engage with their audience. Japan Society engaged Alliance for a digital transformation and to enhance their online reach.
The Challenge
Japan Society faced a critical challenge in the digital era: their existing website did not effectively capture the essence of their organization. It failed to reflect the rich cultural exchange and educational opportunities they offered, thus hindering their ability to connect with their target audience effectively.
The Results
We worked with Japan Society to streamline multiple revenue-centric areas including events, language classes, and venue rentals. In addition, we made it simpler for visitors to understand how they could become part of the journey by joining as a member.
Our new site structure was also focused on exposing the site’s content to more visitors and yielded improvements in organic search. The optimization efforts led to a substantial 129.5% increase in organic search traffic, making it easier for individuals interested in Japanese culture and events to discover Japan Society online. The revamped website attracted 80% more new users, indicating improved engagement and a broader reach within the target audience.

Wireframes
To bring the web experience in line with the member experience, the Alliance team started with information architecture, creating new wireframes for more intuitive navigation and layout areas. The wireframes allowed the project partners to quickly visualize, test, and evaluate improvements.

To ensure an impactful online experience, the new website is fully responsive to any device, operating system, or screen. It looks and performs great on desktops, laptops, tablets, and more.
