2010 Logo Trends
It’s hard to predict what the single biggest logo design trend for 2010 will be but a number of styles and dramatic logo changes have already given us some clues. Gone are the geometric graphic designs and pictograms while the logo replacement cycles continue to get shorter. Corporate logo redevelopment now has to respond to shorter life span’s in order to adapt to changes in consumer trend. Smaller brands will continue to push the limits as they have much less to lose and spend in a complete branding overhaul.
Logo development trends for 2010 will also showcase dynamic backgrounds and colors combined with simpler and cleaner font design. Designers will dig into the bright colors palettes from the 1980’s. With the advances of newspapers to online only content, designers will take influential cues from newspaper design and layout. Continuing from 2009’s logo development trends will be use of brighter and more colorful designs.
The use of expanded color palettes also continues a trend as digital printing and online only branding and design continues to point towards a decrease of print products. Many startup companies are also instituting green design and branding policies that promote PDF and online content. We foresee the trend of paperless office environments to give corporate branders added flexibility and creativity in the redevelopment of logo design.
